Emma Watson's Amazeballs Teen Vogue Cover Shoot

Emma Watson is the August cover model for Teen Vogue. I know, I know, haven't we been here before? She's already done this a few times, right? WRONG! (well, kind of, wrong) Here's why! Not only is the wardrobe basically my dream closet - punk influenced, loads of tartan, a badass pompadour, and some ridiculously amazing accessories - but I'm going to say that Emma looks the most confident and at ease with herself that she ever has. The boyishly cool style suits her and after a whirlwind of a life so far, it seems like Watson's finally truly coming into her own.

Kreativ Blogger Award

This is coming a little late, but I recently received the Kreativ Blogger Award from That College Girls Guide. Recipients are meant to be creative and unique blogs, with a large reader base. It's such an honor and I'm so pleased to be making some sort of positive impression on other bloggers!

It's (one of) THE female comedian dream team(s) in a buddy cop movie. Even if they don't turn the genre on its head, this will still hopefully be riotously funny and totally on par with any male-dominated buddy cop film.

This is really the only movie I care about, so this particular post is short and sweet!

Tapapalooza

It's been a while since I did a post on dance so here I'll give you two amazing routines. They're both tap and they both feature Nick Young and Jess LeProtto on So You Think You Can Dance, and both make me endlessly happy. The rhythms are insane, the performances are just as good. Tap really isn't as popular as it should be. These routines should change your mind if you've got that same mindset.

Color Play

The other night I found myself with a beautiful ticket to the theater! Summer in New York is definitely a challenge, what with the oppressive humidity outside and the Arctic air conditioning inside. With this in mind, I set out to find an outfit that would keep me warm inside, comfortable outside, and would be fabulous enough to wear while sitting in velvet seats. As a dress enthusiast, I was also very intent on creating a theater-appropriate look with pants! No excuse or need to wear jeans to the theater when you've got pants as great as these!

They're back! Pixar has finally arrived with the perfect sequel to Monster's Inc., which is, in fact, a prequel. This will feature Mike, Sully, and a whole gang or two of new friends as they navigate the murky waters of college with everything from frats to classes. I for one can't believe that it took them this long to do this... especially considering they had a sequel for Cars of all things first.

Update:
Long before they took the scaring world by storm, Mike and Sully were polar opposites who didn't want to find anything in common. Before they took the scaring world by storm they hated each other's guts. This premise combined with college and being forced to team up to stay in school makes for a barrel of adventures and laughs. It's so fun to go back and revisit these characters. The stereotypes of college are brilliantly put into monster form from the jocks and nerds to the pee-your-pants-they're-so-scary professors. The movie is at its very best when Mike, Sully, and their rag-tag team members start to hilariously and unbelievably succeed together.

By now, a summer movie standard: an action movie. The difference? This one features Brad Pitt, whether you love him or hate him, saving the world (hopefully) from zombies. These zombies look like they actually pose some sort of threat besides the usual because they're not abominably slow.

I'm pretty impossibly excited about this most recent apocalypse movie. It seems like there's a new apocalypse movie every week (and definitely a few more that I'll feature) but this one will make its mark without a doubt. Starring your favorite freaks and geeks as "themselves" at a party at James Franco's house when the apocalypse hits, I'm betting that this riotous comedy will have you doubled over in laughter from the start.

Get schooled in dorm decorating!

It can be difficult to make a dorm room feel like home and not look like a boring cookie-cutter, run of the mill corner of the room. I'm desperately hoping this is brilliantly funny and not stupidly funny since we've been waiting long enough for Vaughn and Wilson to team up again. The premise is pretty fantastic, as two men are aging out of their jobs as technology is replacing them get an internship at Google. Their inability to navigate the interweb and interact with their younger colleagues should be hilarious.

The beautiful thing about Joss Whedon is his versatility and his commitment to character and story no matter the genre. This particular movie came about from his habitual gatherings at his house during which he would host readings of Shakespeare plays. That is one dinner party I would love to be at. For this particular reincarnation of the play, they kept the setting modern - shot entirely at Whedon's house - but the dialogue is pretty much what it originally was meant to be!
