So I choreographed this dance..

and I'm pretty proud of it. At Marist I am apart of the Marist College Dance Ensemble and it's truly a home for me. Now this might be as good as it gets for my choreography but hopefully I can just grow from here. Check it out, hope you like it.

Flashback! Favorite Advertisement Time

So when this ad was on I would literally do anything I could to watch it. It's upbeat, silly, zany and all things cool and I figured I'd be super awesome and bring it into your lives again, or for the first time.

The song is 'Alouette' by the Delta Rhythm Boys.

My heart stopped for 3 minutes and 22 seconds...

This dance is just that breathtakingly beautiful. It isn't stagnant in its stillness. Rather, it is expertly choreographed and every movement provides maximum impact. The dancers are breathing together, that's how in sync it is. Extra props for the partner work that isn't all lifting. Plus, you know, Springsteen!

I mean, who doesn't love a dance to a good Springsteen cover?

Easy Listening

As a perpetual Zooey Deschanel fan, it's my duty to inform you of her new single with M. Ward for She & Him Vol. 3 called "I Could've Been Your Girl." It's a little like Train in Vain (Stand by Me) by The Clash in that the lyrics are pretty sad but the beat's really fun!

The beginnings of a summer playlist? I think so!

It's the time of the season!

Spring is just about here! Since at the present moment it's almost warm, but not quite warm enough to break out the jorts, usher in the warm weather with fun prints, pops of neon, and some realistic layers.
Coat: Gap, Cardigan: LOFT, Top: Zara, Jeans: LOFT, Belt: American Eagle, Shoes: Aldo, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
I have desperately wanted to freshen things up and get out of my winter clothes so I chose a whimsical ruffled sleeveless top with an eyeglass print from Zara and toughened (and warmed) it up with my military inspired, and oh-so comfortable jacket and boyfriend cardigan. Then I pulled it all together with a bright belt!
Keep things fun with pops of color and wacky prints!
I kept my heels high and my makeup fun! I'm wearing Sephora lipstick in the shade Jealous and basically matched it to my Marc by Marc Jacobs crossbody.  I wore my hair in a messy but fun braided crown and added some big earrings!
I found a great tutorial here!

Happy spring! Have fun taking out your summer clothes on Tuesday!

Something happy for the end of your week!

So, I realized that I don't really blog about dance, which is one of the most intense loves of my life! Dance is something that I cannot imagine leaving behind because no matter how I'm feeling, it always allows me to express myself, achieve, and leave the studio feeling accomplished. It has consistently allowed me to reach goals and grow, within the art and outside it! Now, I realize that not everybody loves dance, but I aim to start featuring dances that I find that touch me in some way and hopefully those of you who aren't into dance can give it a chance! So first off, a wacky, wild, and innovative dance featured on the Dancing with the Stars (one of the funniest shows on television, if you ask me) results show.

Enjoy!
