First Look: Warby Parker x Leith Clark

Okay all of your cool-girl glasses wishes and dreams just came true (and just in time for Christmas too). Stylist extraordinare Leith Clark has collaborated with Warby Parker for a mini collection that is so perfectly her MO. If you're not familiar with her work, she is the stylist of the likes of Keira Knightley, is behind some of the striking editorials from Harper's Bazaar UK and Italian Vogue, and is the founder of the magazine Lula. Her aesthetic is delightful - really if I could just have her telepathically tell me what to wear every day, I wouldn't hate it. She has an amazing mix of femininity, cool, and whimsy. This has transferred perfectly to this collection. They are vintage, retro, and mod, but totally current in silhouette.

Better yet, perrenial cool girl and one of my icons of all-around awesomeness (seriously... she could win the all-around gold medal in being awesome), Zoe Kazan models the collection. I've had glasses for years now, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I started to actually love having glasses. Not only do some of my favorite characters rock some optical enhancements, but they frame your face and add a little kick to every outfit when you need one. Plus, better vision for those of us who are slightly impaired is a nice added bonus.

I am a firm believer that as long as you find the right pair, everyone can wear oversized glasses. I am partial to glasses that make me look like a librarian, in a good way, and this is seriously a dream collection for me. Nerdiness is a trait that I often champion in myself and others and love to give myself a bookish look with my glasses.

Aurora

This collection also features one of my favorite eyewear trends brilliantly - colored tortoise. This features a stunning, oversized blue tortoise that is simultaneously flattering and bold. Every pair is available in optical or sun, so they suit any whimsical styling need you have! My favorite picks are Marva and Willow.

Marva

You can start buying these lovely frames today, December 3rd online and in stores and the best news is, your bank account won't be dying a slow, painful death because all frames are only $145.00! Warby Parker's usual 1 for 1 policy still stands and to increase your holiday do-gooding, a portion of the sales from this collection will be going to Girl Up.

So there you have it: style and spirit as well as class and generosity. Everybody wins! What are your favorite styles?

    1. Zoe Kazan! Link to her twitter is in the second paragraph! She wrote/starred in the movie Ruby Sparks and you also might recognize her from It's Complicated, Revolutionary Road, and Happythankyoumoreplease. Definitely one of my girl crushes - super smart, funny, and I just want to be BFFs with her.

      Thanks for reading!
