Free People Movement

Now that some of the dust has settled in the wake of the abysmal "dancer" featured in promos, here are my favorite picks from Free People's new line of activewear. If there's one thing to keep in mind, it's that, as horribly ignorant as those promos were, the actual clothes that they're advertising, are really cute.

With a fabulously '90s silhouette, this bra top makes a statement with great colors and the perfect cut to show off all of the hard work that you're surely putting into your fitness plan if you're paying $58.00 for this top. $58.00

Summer Movie Monday: Catching Up

Now that school is over and I have some time to write (yay!), I'm finally able to fill you in on this summer's first round of movies. Look forward to one of these posts every week, but for now, this will cover the last few weeks of summer movies. Click through for the seven movies in this first installment!

The Essentials: Makeup Edition

source

Years of doing stage makeup have prepared me for this moment (fun fact: I learned how to make myself look like a drag queen with no help when I was just 10 years old! The glories of dancing competitively). Here they are, my tried and true favorites that I just can't live without.

Tuesday Tunes: Death Cab for Cutie

Since Tuesdays are the perfect day for tunes I'll occasionally be sharing some of my favorite lyrics and pictures that I've taken smashed up into one being! Enjoy!

Liebster Award

Lindsey at More Awesomer, Kimberly at Kimberly's Chronicle, and Sami at Sparkle and Shine nominated me for the Liebster award, which is an award for up-and-coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. I am so honored and terribly sorry that it took so long for me to write this post! Since I slacked and took so long to publish this post I have answered all three sets of questions I got.

Pins of the Week: Lounge Around

Since I have finally had some time to do some pinning, I've been Jonse-ing for some workout clothes - must be my complete lack of physical exercise for the past few months! Here are some of my latest favorites that I've pinned. Follow @trinacardamone for many more pins and see my comfy cozy board for the latest trends in lounge and workout clothes that catch my eye!

Her Campus Conference

If you've noticed the badge at the bottom of my blog, you'll have noticed that I am apart of the Her Campus Blogger Network. It's an amazing network of some of the coolest blogs around, all with unique voices and styles. My previous post about the Kreativ Blogger Award and my Blog Roll both have links to some of these blogs! Check them out.

Additionally, if you're interested in blogging, fashion, business, writing, and more, check out an amazing opportunity! Her Campus is hosting their National Intercollegiate Conference in my home for the summer, New York City on July 27th and July 28th. It is open to bloggers in the network and anyone else too! Not only is this a great excuse to visit Manhattan, which is full of amazing things to do during the summer, but the Conference itself will be so packed with enlightening speakers and goodies galore that you won't want to miss it! Saturday is only open to members of the Her Campus Blogger Network, but Sunday is for everybody! The illustrious speakers come from the likes of Teen Vogue, Lucky, Seventeen, Redbook, The Huffington Post, and so many more. If you have any inkling to go into the fashion industry or get involved with blogging or writing, this is the place to be on July 27th and 28th! Register while you still can!

If you do end up going, here are some of my favorite things to do in the city!
If you're a newbie, there are the major sites to see - a show on Broadway (Once is amazing), Times Square (only to get cookies at Schmackary's), and Central Park (check out Belvedere Castle).

However, if you want to have some more fun, go and spend some time where you haven't before! Check out Tribeca, the Village, and if you have time (and energy) walk from West to East, going from the Hudson to the Brooklyn Bridge. The best thing I can possibly say is to research a little, but let yourself wander a lot! And check out Bleecker St, always Bleecker (home of Magnolia's, Bookmarc, and more).

Have fun in New York and if you go, remember to come back here and let me know what you thought and what you found!
