The Rocky Road to Dublin

Now in the merry month of .. October I took a wee trip to Dublin with my mom. We definitely saw the sights and it is just a really cool little city that has more than a little in common with Boston which gave it an eerie familiarity. Things seemed to bode well right from the start as we were greeted with a rainbow and more sunshine than we expected. Our adventure started at Trinity College, seeing the Book of Kells and a gorgeous collection of old tomes. It's just one of those places where you can feel the knowledge around you. With the city ahead of us from there, we started exploring. We saw the Spire, the statue of James Joyce, and buskers alike before heading into a pub for a meal and a drink with some great live music along with it!

The next day was a food, drink, and old church extravaganza! The Cake Café was easily the best breakfast I've had since my Sunday brunches in New York City. I had pancakes that had cream cheese mixed into the batter and cinnamon all with apples and pears! So delicious. We went to St. Patrick's and then headed on our way to drink. The tour of the Guinness factory is touristy, sure, but it's actually really cool! Plus, it's worth it alone for a beer in the Gravity Bar where you get the most amazing view of Dublin below your feet. We explored for the rest of the day, woke up obnoxiously early, and headed to the west coast to see the Cliffs of Moher, which were breathtaking. Ireland is truly beautiful coast to coast, so if you ever go, try to make it around! Every little bit of Dublin has an interesting texture

I will definitely cherish my memories of Dublin forever! It is such an amazing little town. What are some of your favorite cities and travel destinations? Sound off below!
