Dress the Part: Margot Tenenbaum

source
Oh, Margot. Child prodigy. Quirky (crazy) family. One of the most iconic costumes - it is instantly recognizable. It's a collection of misguided glamour that has grown out of itself. The odes to childhood, and arrested development (not the TV show, for once) emerge in the form of a polo dress and bobby pins, mixed with the undeniable signs of money and stagnation with a pristine fur coat, loafers, and THE ultimate unattainable purse: a Birkin bag. At once minimalist and opulent, this look screams status and dissatisfaction. Pin straight hair, a single bobby pin, and eyes rimmed in dark eyeliner complete the look.
