Thank You Note Style

Call me crazy, but I love office supplies. Staples is heaven. Even better, Papyrus. Oh my god, I could spend hours in Papyrus. Why does this matter? Well, if you're doing an internship this summer, like I have been lucky enough to, chances are it's coming to an end. Standard protocol is that you write whoever you feel you should be writing, a thank you note. It's common courtesy and it's the least you can do. Plus, thank you notes can be way more fun than you thought when spending hours after your birthday party or Christmas writing them. Here are some of the cutest thank you notes around that will add a little bit of flair to every "thank you so much for this opportunity" that you write.

Many more after the break!
There are so many options now with thank you notes that you can really represent yourself and match your notes to your style! For example, if you're big into nature, a wood grain embossing like number 3 can express that, and if you're a dancer with an addiction to glitter and an affinity for Parisian culture, number 6 is just for you (or, me. yes, I own them).

Look for prints (number 7) and typography (number 9, 12) that draw you in, or even sizes and cuts that are unique like the teeny tiny thank you notes (number 10). These different details will make you stand out and depending on your choices will make very different statements about you.

You might be simplistic but feminine or you could be bold and playful. Whichever statement you make with your thank you notes, having fun (and not being strictly boring and professional) is a great unexpected way to infuse something thought of as generic with some genuine personality.

Expert tip: Keep an eye out in markets, bookstores, and museums! You never know where you'll find the perfect thank you notes!
